Spring Daze Entry 2011

I entered the Cary Spring Daze (formerly Lazy Daze) photo contest this year. I need your support. Come out this weekend and vote for my pictures for people's choice! The festival is going on from 9-5 on Saturday. The picture contest is in the Boat House. Here is a link to the map. Hope to see you there!

Easter Princess

Here is Lily in her Easter Dress. I love holidays that call for big dress and big bows to match.

Sometimes It Doesn't have to be perfect

I knew as soon as I took this picture it was going to be a little blown out and too shadowy. I mean it was like one in the afternoon, so I wasn't expecting much. But we were having so much fun!  Sometimes a photo is beautiful just because of the memory it represents. Like a warm spring day of dandelions and swings.

Lazy Daze Entry

In honor of the pending Lazy Daze Arts and Craft Festival  I did a mini-shoot with Lily in downtown Cary, NC. I love downtown Cary. So quant yet boutiquey...

I am entering two pictures in the Lazy Daze photo contest this year. So I need your help! Which two are your favorite? Leave a comment to vote, or like me and tell me on facebook!

Dylan REALLY turns One!

So the week after Dylan's lovely photoshoot, we attended his actually party. So we pretty much celebrated the awesomeness that is Dylan for a whole week. Okay I have to admit. First birthdays are so overwhelming for little babies. Even small shindigs. But Dylan did so good. Even if he did not realize how great the cake was. I mean the rest of us did! I think he was just mad he didn't get a piece of the strawberry cake that was to die for!

Why yes I do feel quite official

I have been working really hard behind the scenes over the last couple weeks. As you can see I now have a new domain name. So techy I know. Update your blogger accounts or favorites if you are following to keep up on my latest projects.

Augusta National Lite

My husband went to the Masters this week. I did not. The large print of no cameras allowed deterred me just a bit. If I wasn't able to take pictures of the awesomeness that is Augusta National I refused to go. It is just a slap in the face to a photography lover. So I "let" him take Craig.

So we made an attempt to get a picture of the boys in fake Augusta...aka in front of the only azalea bush we own. Still don't think it will pass for Augusta but I tried.

Just the Girls

My BFF and her husband came to visit this past weekend. I got some great shots of the girls together. Lily was her Mommy the whole visit. She helped put her to bed, handed her toys, read her stories, etc. Makes me want to make her a big sister. Until five minutes later she fell out about having to wash her hands and I snapped back to reality.  So we will settle for playing Mommy to other babies for now. Here are Little Lily and Baby Libby.

I heart lensflare

During our previously mentioned evening at Centennial Campus, we passed by hubby's work building. Right in front of it was this little courtyard that had the sun hitting it just right as it was setting. I hopped out of the car, even though I had promised her Mommy was done taking her picture. I got some amazing lensflare shots. I am a big fan of sunflare. I have been known to add it in places it didn't exist naturally...see I really do love it.  But I am proud to say this is all mother nature. Well except for the adorable kid. I will gladly take credit for that!

Dylan Turns One!

I cannot believe it has been an entire year since Dylan was born. He is quite the handsome little guy too! He just laughed and laughed at Lily during their visit this week. I actually bought this cowboy hat just for him and he got the "tux" as a Christmas gift from us! Here are a few photos I took in honor of his upcoming birthday.  Happy Birthday Dylan!

Spring is here

Lily and I headed to Centennial Campus earlier last month. This is quickly becoming my new favorite spot to photograph. In between traveling and crazy schedules I just got the chance to really look through the pictures I took. In her favorite "cinderella" dress, and sporting a Dora band-aid on her hand, she looked quite the little princess.
